Vanesa

Vanesa is from Trujillo, Peru. January 1, 1985 - April 5, 2021.

Vanesa cleaned CESAPU - Centro de Salud Publica (aka knitting workshop) every morning since our inauguration in December 2016, alongside her mother Otilia. She recently joined Chimuk and was one of the most enthusiastic, hardworking artisans and definitely received the reward of most improved artisan.

Unfortunately, Vanesa passed away due to a brain aneurism on April 5, 2021. She left behind 2 children, a 17 year old son, Nector, and a 9 year old daughter, Tatiana. In June 2021, Nector passed away due to a motorcycle accident. We have began a fund for her daughter Tatiana, who is currently being raised by her aunt. If you would like to financially support Tatiana's future studies, you can make a donation directly to Hands on Peru with a special note, and we will guide the funds accordingly.
