Juana

  

 

Juana is from the highland town of Cajamarca, Peru. She was born on July 24, 1951 and has never attended school. She has eight children, which has led to her being a full time housewife or "ama de casa" for her whole life. She learned how to knit in the Chimuk workshops, and has truly taken a passion to it!

You can often find Juana spending time in the Chimuk workshop, accompanying her niece, Rosita, (also a Chimuk knitter), and learning as much as possible from simply observation. She is so curious and frankly, adorable. We love how much she loves Chimuk! Her dream is to one day visit Chile.
