Cleotilde

Cleotilde is from the highland town of Otusco, Peru, located about 90 minutes from Trujillo. She was born on Nov 18, 1953 and has completed first grade of primary school. She has one child who is grown, and is now grandmother to 2 grandchildren. Chimuk is Cleotilde's only source of income, and she spends most of her time in the home as an "ama de casa" or housewife. She enjoys knitting due to the mental health benefits and relaxation that it brings her, and she believes that learning new things keeps her mind sharp and prevent boredom. We agree!

Cleotilde has a contagious, joyful personality and we love collaborating with her. She has been knitting for many years and often inspires our products with her original designs.
