And that’s a wrap! What an incredible month it’s been for us at Chimuk.
This October, co-directors Katie and Tess set off on a month-long adventure across the USA to share our artisan-made products and the stories of the women who make them
We began our journey in the beautiful mountain towns of Vail and Breckenridge, CO, where crisp air and golden leaves welcomed us.
From there, we flew east to New Jersey and New York City, buzzing with energy and inspiration.
Next came Concord, MA, then Cary, North Carolina, and finally Washington DC — each stop full of warmth, connection, and community.

We also met countless kind people who connected deeply with our story and mission
Beyond the numbers, this trip reminded us why we do what we do. Each conversation about our artisans, every person who picked up a hat or scarf and smiled, every shared story about the impact of supporting women around the world — it all filled us with pride and purpose.
Two standout moments were attending the Shoulder to Shoulder Ethical Leadership Forum in Vail, CO and the Help Peru Annual Gala in NYC.
Both events were powerful reminders of the growing community of people and organizations dedicated to improving access to healthcare, education, and ethical employment opportunities in Peru.
Katie had the honor of speaking at the Ethical Leadership Forum, sharing the story of Hands on Peru and Chimuk.
