Welcome to Chimuk!

Chimuk is a collective of 20 women artisans in Trujillo, Peru who have been mastering and sharing the art of knitting since 2016. Powered by the nonprofit Hands on Peru, the initiative began as a way to empower women in the community through sustainable, handmade fashion.

Today, Chimuk artisans earn fair monthly incomes while creating unique knitted accessories. Each piece includes a QR code that connects you directly to the story of the woman who made it, celebrating transparency, craftsmanship, and women’s empowerment.
