Zoila

 

Zoila is one of our newest artisans, joining Chimuk in January 2026!

She was born in 1988 in the mountain town of Pataz, which is located approximately 10 hours into the Andes mountains from the coast!  She finished secondary school and then moved with her parents to Trujillo when she was 17 years old for better work opportunities.

Zoila has 2 daughters, aged 9 and 15. She is a stay at home mom and loves spending time with her daughters. Her daughters love when she cooks their favourite foods 'Aji de Gallina' and ' Arroz Chaufa'. She loves to knit in her spare time.
