REBIRTH - Root to Rebirth

“The Root of Rebirth”  Is inspired by agriculture, because it plays a central role in Peruvian culture both socially and professionally, and because our lives adapt constantly to nature. "Siembra" or “Sowing” reflects the rebirth after the pandemic.

Recently, an archaeological find in the citadel of Chan-Chan, the Chimu world heritage site from which Chimuk was inspired, revealed clay tablets of the indigenous Chimu people depicting their cultivated fields from an aerial perspective. This motivated the team to look at these motifs from a different perspective and ultimately inspired this collection.

The archaeological motifs of the Chimú were abstracted and reinterpreted by the artisans. The result is a captivating collection of knitted winter accessories made of alpaca fibres and organic cotton with a contemporary character that does justice to the historical aspects of these millennia-old works, transporting them to the 21st century in a subtle way.
